Ravaged by Sickness, Election day, a temporary Job Offer, and Bowling by Myself
This week was kinda a crazy one. On Saturday morning I woke up with a headache and wondering if I was sick and should miss work. It's always so hard to tell if you should just power through the sickness or guiltily (at least for me) take off sick from work. Well, it was a good thing that I did, because I had something of a flu. It was pretty tough. Because almost all day I was feeling guilty about if I had made the right decision to stay away. Well, it was the right decision because I had become feverish, and after some time watching tv, I rested to get better.
The sickness stayed with me from Saturday up until the end of Tuesday. Which may have been okay, but like most sicknesses in a family of quarantining people, Sarah caught what I had and from Wednesday up until today (Sunday), she hasn't been feeling good (however she is definitely on the upside of this sickness.
On Monday I was still sick, but I took my time to help Sarah with uploading things for her class that she has been working on.
Tuesday was Election Day, and I was on the Upswing and Sarah was fully on the downswing. But somehow we made it to the polls and I got to vote the most informed I've ever been in an election. I was happy to do my duty. I ended up watching election results until about 11:30 pm, and saw the newly-elected President Trump give his Acceptance Speech.
I worked yesterday for the first time in two weeks. It was mus actually a pretty easy day. I talked to Desiree about a job offer that Augustina had presented to me. She had asked me if I could come in on Wednesdays from 4-8pm. I had been struggling with the decision and ultimately decided that I didn't want to do it so that I could have more time getting my own students to come to my house or I to theirs. But when I told Desiree, she said that the position could be temporary if I wanted it to go away, and that they were just looking to hire someone that would be able to hold the fort down until said person was hired. So I told her I would think about it and get back to Augustina. I told her I could do Wednesdays temporarily.
I don't know if I told you, but Sarah, on Apache Junction Buy Nothing Group got me a bowling ball, and a bowling ball carrier. It actually had two bowling balls. So I actually went bowling by myself this last Friday night. I tried to go during the day, but the front counter said the bowling leagues are getting first priority until April when Winter Leagues are done. It made me sad, because Mesa East Bowl is super inexpensive during the day. Well, Sarah helped me decide to go anyways at 9:30pm. Next time I will have to get a reservation, because they said it's by reservation and first come first serve, but I was still able to get a lane, and happily find out that the $15 charge is for a bowl as much as you want situation. So I bowled 4 rounds. Almost immediately I felt self-concious because of the people that were there and worrying what they thought of me. And I performed less than ideal my first round of bowl. I subsequently got better. However, my left butt cheek muscles have been hurting since bowling. I did download a pdf to keep track of how well I'm doing on my tablet. I only had 2-3 strikes. So I definitely gotta learn how to be okay with playing by myself, especially in a dark room where there are many lights and things.
