Sarah Gets Called as Seminary Teacher!
Brother Smith, who is the institute director for pretty much all of Santa Barbara County, came to visit us one Sunday in June. Specifically to come visit Sarah. We were unsure what would come of this meeting, for we knew that he was a High Councilor in the stake. Well, he warmly greeted us as we sat in the backyard on the teal Adirondack chairs. He told Sarah, that if she would accept, that the stake would like to call her as a new seminary teacher for the Orcutt Hills and Oak Knoll Wards. We weren't told then, but we know now that she will be teaching the younger class of students (Freshman and Sophomores in High School). He told her that the Lord would qualify her in her teaching as she looks to Him for guidance. Sarah later found out that she would be team teaching with Sister Nelson. Later on, she was set apart by him, and her Dad, Arno, and I participated in the setting apart and blessing. That was really special for her. August 18th is the start of the Seminary school year. ...
