Our Two September Temple Trips

In September, we had the opportunity to go on two temple trips. One with Arno at the beginning of the month, and one without.

The night we decided to go, Arno wasn't feeling well, so he stayed asleep at the temple apartments. We went to go to a Sealing. Before the sealing started, I bumped in to the new temple president's wife, Sister Ghent. She was so nice and heartwarming. She even invited us to her house the next time we came to a night session for dinner. We will have to take her up on that offer. After the sealing, we ran into her again in the Celestial Room, and she told us that we are able to tour the sealing rooms that are attached to the Celestial Rooms. It was nice, quiet, and peaceful.

The next morning, Arno was feeling up to going to an endowment, so we went and enjoyed our morning in the temple. Arno also really wanted to get a blessing from the temple president, Bruce Ghent, and so afterwards, we asked Sister Ghent if he was available, and he was, and he gave Arno a blessing. It was rather special.

On our second temple trip in the month, we did initiatories and Sarah ran into someone she knew, which was special.

On our way back we stopped at El Capitan Beach and enjoyed a leisurely time swimming. They had interesting waves but we made it past the highest point of them and were just enjoying our time. We then listened to the BYU game playing on the radio on our drive home.
