The First Half of April 2026

We went to go watch Annabelle on Senior Night at her swim meet at Righetti High School. She was able to do her senior swim, which is this wacky swim where the seniors participating get to do wacky things in the pool as they complete a lap. Annabelle dressed with a green wig and a rainbow tule skirt. It was quite hilarious. This swim inspired Sarah to go try Masters swimming. Hopefully it's something Sarah continues.

Sarah and I went to Roy's for the first time. It is a frozen yogurt shop that just had it's grand opening. It is named after their dog.

Sarah and I went to Los Angeles to hang out with her family. We of course did our temple trip. It was very nice to do so. I definitely love my wife, as demonstrated by this "what I am thankful for board.." at the temple visitor's center.

David and Kirsten's family was on their way to Catalina, but while they were stopped in LA, they invited the family to their hotel to swim in the pool. Christina bought pizzas for everyone. David, Athena, Enoch, Sarah, and Christina, were all there of the siblings (or the bottom five, as they were calling it). It was good to see all the kids from these families, all enjoying one another and having a great time. Helen was there as well.

On this trip, we decided to go visit my parents in Fontana. On our way, we stopped at Target, and as the next day was going to be Easter, we decided that it would be fun to get them an "Easter Basket." In it were treats (chips and chocolate) as well as an egg decorating kit and a new door mat for the outside. This last item was of particular interest for me, because it just caught my eye as something that would be well received and a great addition to our house. They appreciated the "basket." This was also the 2nd time in a week that we visited them. The first time was the week prior to stay the evening at their house after going to the Redlands Temple and getting a blessing.

We watched conference with them on Easter and spent time with them.

After we left, we went to go see Adina and Gavin. We enjoyed some time with them.

That week prior, we saw Nia Tui'tavaka and her husband at the temple. It was such a wonderful relief to see them there that night. And honestly a miracle, because we had to give all that we got to go to the temple that evening. She was so gracious and loving and it was special to see her there that night.

A cross road in Oxnard, on our way home from our Easter and conference escapades.

We went to Roy's again. This time we only got one cup of frozen yogurt, at my request, and shared. Roy is on the window next to the Easter Bunny.

We went to the Lompoc Acquatic Center. We enjoyed our time going down the two waterslides they have and playing in the water. It was a lot of fun. There were a ton of people there and we had to stand in a line to make sure we were able to get in.

Afterwards we went to PJ's Deli, and got some really good sandwiches and sliders.

Sarah in our goal of having a newly cleaned room.

Sarah's nails.

The yard project we have been working on is cleaning out the dirt and leaves and sticks that have been crowding the rocks in the front of the house. We each have been spending 30 minutes a day doing so, with a shop vac.

I started a challenge with Friends and family to walk 3700 miles in 45 (really 46) days, before my birthday, using the pacer app. Slowly people joined, but now we have enough people that joined to actually accomplish that goal.

Here's a picture of my grandpa with muppets. I don't know the story, but it's a cool picture.
