The First Third of December
Sarah and I participated in the Ward Christmas Party Program. I played the piano for almost everybody but a few, and Sarah sang Silent Night. She was very good, she got compliments. She also (with my help) made some scalloped potatoes that were very good. The theme of the party was and play was Picture a Christmas, and Sister Suzie Resendez did an absolutely superb job decorating the house. Sarah and I sat by the Wyetts and the Deacons.
On the first Saturday of the Month, we went to go choose a Christmas tree with the Trefflichs. We went to Holloways Christmas Tree Farm in Nipomo. We went there because after this year they are closing down, sadly. The tree we chose out, was the first tree I thought and probably said to myself, we should get this tree (after much searching). That same night we went to watch the Santa Maria parade. I gave David a ride because I had been feeling sick earlier and Kirsten and Sarah were watching basketball games for Ben and Marcus. Both Annabelle and Danielle were in the parade.
Julia Trefflich, Arnie and Dila Trefflich's daughter, and Sarah and David's niece, surprisingly announced that she had gotten her mission call and that she was going to open it on Tuesday night. As a family, we zoomed in and Julia got called to the Germany Hamburg mission. Which is where Grandpa Trefflich was born and was a caretaker of the zoo there, called Faukelman's TierGarten. We were happy to be involved in the zoom call. And afterwards, Sarah and I finished our Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Puzzle, which we had started the week before Thanksgiving.
