After Christmas San Diego Party with the Trefflichs and our Friend Jessica in Dana Point
We were able to meet with Sonia and Enoch at a Denny's in Fontana. It was a nice visit, even if it was only for like an hour. We miss them very much. And because we were sick, they opted out on not bringing their kids, sadly. Hopefully we can see them very soon.
On our way back to Helen's, before our trip to San Diego, we stopped by to see my friend Chris Fitzmaurice. It was a nice beautiful time with him. We hope he knows we love him very much, and we're excited for his graduation very soon.
BYU beat Georgia Tech in the Poptarts Bowl. Helen spilled the beans to David in the car on the way to Hotel Coronado to his chagrin.
Meeting with the Trefflich Crew in San Diego at the King's Inn Hotel. We all had a great rate because of Richard's in with the Hotel owner, Marco.
The Hotel del Coronado was a bustling, busy place. Busiest I've seen in a long time. We did our best to get Helen a wheelchair midway. And we took pictures with the family. The pics of the puzzles are funny because my family (the Gonzales family) had done a puzzle of a toy shop and of a Christmas dollhouse. It was truly meant to be. These puzzles were much fancier versions of these puzzles though, found in the gift store. I had also found some books that were about the year you were born. I thought they were interesting little things.
On our way to Priesthood the next day, David and I were passing by primary when we heard some wailing. He said something needs to be done, and he recruited me to help him lead primary that day (since they didn't really have a chorister nor a pianist). They were playing a dice game and on the dice there was a command to act like a baby, which is why we think they were wailing. David got them into ship-shape fast. And it was cool to see him lead primary and be in his element with kids. Marcus was among the group of kids (this being his last weeks of primary). Afterwards, David had me and the violinist play music together.
Getting gifts from Helen and spending time with Richard's family in their Hotel Room.
At the Mormon Battalion Museum.
That night, we got to meet one of Sarah's long time friends, Jessica Orban, at Dana Point. We met her and her family onlooking Dana Point and just got to know her personally, since we had never met her in person. She is one of Sarah's best friends, and we loved spending time with her and seeing her for the brief time. She has a beautiful personality and a great family to boot.
Getting sucked into the upside down (at Target in Redondo Beach), which is something we watched over this Winter Break. Stranger Things 5 Volumes 1, 2, and 3.
