A 2025 Gonzales Christmas
From the 23rd through the 26th, Sarah and I went to celebrate Christmas and Nochebuena with my Family in Fontana. Jake, Rachel, Ivy and Sarah were all present. Briana was celebrating in Idaho with her family. The absence of her family made the holiday rather quiet. We spent it doing puzzles as well as watching things on TV and playing games. Also, both Sarah and I were sick with a huge cough, so nobody really wanted to interact with us too much so as not to get sick.
But it was a fun Christmas nonetheless. Sarah was taking so many fun little pictures with her digital camera from the 2000s, so that made it quite eventful.
We went to Miguel's Jr. the first day that we were there and got the burritos and other mexican food of our dreams. Ivy was just a little princess throughout the whole meal. She really is a sweet child.
We ate turkey and chicken, both seasoned by Dad, with a little bit of help from my wife. We also had mashed potatoes and gravy, with stuffing. For dessert, we had mom's signature Carrot Cake.
We were able to get people presents this year. Which was fun and something we hadn't ever done before together. It made it exciting. We got Sarah a Trader Joes Gluten free cake, along with a puzzle. We got Jake a drawing desk and board. We got Rachel spice holders for the fridge that she wanted. We got mom a puzzle and dad a figurine of Mary and Joseph traveling with the babe Jesus. From Mom and Dad, we got a Sonicare toothbrush that Sarah wanted, and a puzzle, and a Tabernacle Choir book, and the 75th anniversary of Peanuts Commemoration Book that I wanted.
I went on a walk with Jake, Rachel, and Ivy in the stroller, the next day. We talked about a lot of things adulting.
It was good to be with everybody.
