Seeing the Gonzales Family and a Great Halloween Party

The weekend of the 24th through the 26th, Sarah and I arranged it for me to go visit my family, Briana and her family, Sarah, and my parents on the last two days they were in town while they were going to Disneyland. They greeted me and then promptly, after a little bit of talk, went to bed. But the next day before Sarah went back to Utah and Briana's family took a plane home, I got to spend time with them. We did puzzles, talked for a while, ate breakfast and lunch together, etc.

Then they had to go, but it was still nice seeing my sisters and their family. It was also nice to get up early with the Brooks family and enjoy waking up with Cohen, Sunny and Lowe.

Sarah (my wife) came after they had all gone, because that was the hand that we were dealt with the sub job that she got. She had to rent a car to come, but she did get to my house and we did pick up some Miguel's bean and cheese burritos on the way home.

The next day was the BYU game and it was also the day of one of Sarah's friend's Lyne's Halloween party. They have an annual Halloween party where they invite all their friend to their house at Canyon Lake and party it up.

Before the BYU game mom and dad took us out to eat at Mucho Gusto, the Peruvian restaurant. We each had a signature Peruvian dish and enjoyed chatting away about Peruvian customs and sayings, among other things. Afterwards, Sarah and I went to go pick up things from Home Depot, Target, and Deserst Industries thrift store for our costumes. A lot of it was stuff for my costume, as I was to be Robin Hood and Sarah was to be Maid Marian. We got dowels for my arrows, as well as cardboard and brown painters tape. We also picked up some green camo leggings for Sarah's costume.

While we were still staying with Mom and Dad, Sarah and I worked on making the bow and arrows that go with my costume. Mom and Dad also contributed in their own ways to helping us making these objects. All in all, it turned out pretty good. And during the duration of the game, we were able to complete the accessories to my Robin Hood costume. We totally won that game as well. So it was good time spent.

The Halloween party was fun. It was a Dungeons and Dragons theme. We got to meet some people that live in Santa Maria, as well as talk to Lyne's family and enjoy our time with all the people. The food was good and they had the best baked pies their. We also ate some great chicken wings.

We made it back the next day with just enough time for me to play the piano for the Primary Program for the Orcutt Hills Ward. The primary all did an amazing job.
