Bear Bachmeier Bulldozes Defenders to a BYU Victory Over the Utes

On October 18th, Sarah treated me to time with me at Buffalo Wild Wings so that we could watch The Holy War: BYU Cougars vs Utah Utes. Part of the thing that made the experience so great was being able to request that the game be broadcast on the big screen over the bar with the projector. We got the deal of wings that we could find, and when the waiter offered us a pazookie, we couldn't turn them down. I say them, because we decided to get two and really treat ourselves.

The football game was a thriller. Favorite quote from the night (which we didn't hear until later) was: "There's a Bear on the loose in Provo." Referring to Bear Bachmeier, the quarterback of BYU bulldozing through a bunch of Utah defenders with their O-line pushing him through.

In the end, BYU rallied for the win and beat Utah 24-21. The fans stormed the field, which Jacob told us later was to his chagrin, because his work said that BYU would get fined, and therefore no bonuses for them.

This was such a fun time to be with Sarah and just hang out in a place for several hours watching a game that I loved, with my wife.

The next day, my family was railing about how good the game was over the family video meeting. We just couldn't believe how great this game turned out.
