Playing for Kanani's Violin Recital and Knowing Kanani from a Past Life
It was so much fun to play for Kanani's violin recital.
I also forgot to talk about how that when I first met up with Kanani to do this, I thought I didn't know who she was. Then, as we were talking she told me that she thought she knew me from somewhere. Well, turns out that we went to BYU and graduated at the same time in Psychology, were in the same mediator class, and lived in the same place, Brookview. Small world! It's really cool that we have that connection and that Kanani totally remembered because I did not recognize her.
We had practiced a good amount of times to feel really good about it. But about twenty minutes before the meet up time, Kanani texted me asking if I could play for one more of her students because the piano accompanist that was going to play for her had been nervous about playing this particular piece. I immediately said yes and traveled to the Oasis Center to learn the piece and practice with Audrey, as well as Kanani. It was good that I did because there were certain things that I didn't know about how the piece was played that would've hindered how we played it together.
So, it was really nice and we had a fun time playing those pieces together and enjoy a good sheet cake and lemon bars. Such a fun time and I wasn't nervous at all.
