My totally amazing very good 36th Birthday
My 36th birthday was absolutely perfect thanks to Sarah.
First off, my birthday was on a Friday, a week before the end of school. Sarah hadn't picked up a job yet. And I just found out that 1) this was my last week of actual teaching (they are going to use me next week for other things) and 2) Terry called me to not actually teach music in place of a kindergarten class that was needing a sub and she also asked Sarah to sub. Sarah told Terry that she would sub on the condition that I still get to teach my last day of music classes. Terry said she would see what she could do. And boy did she pull through and grant Sarah's wish.
The beginning of the school day we did a snake through the entire campus with the kids to see and tour all the grade's rooms. So, Terry told Sarah that I could help out with the kindergarten kiddos until we were done with the “snake” and then I could go to my room to teach my own classes. So, Sarah pulled through for me as well. It was amazing how everything worked out.
My last day of teaching went really well. First off, I had Marcus’ class. And from Marcus’ class all the way to the end of the day, at the end of class, I had every one of those students sing happy birthday to me. It was really special.
And what was even more special, is Sarah had a free 40 minutes, so she sat in for my 2nd grade class as they were playing the game Charlie Over The Ocean and watching March Movie Madness. She even got involved and in this duck duck goose like game she tagged me and I ran around the circle chasing her. It was pretty cute on her part.
Then we ate lunch for 10 minutes together and she told everyone there that it was my birthday.
Another miracle is that Ms. Soriano (Kindergarten teacher) said that for her second half of students she was going to surprise Mrs. Beth K (other kindergarten teacher) with a video that I helped her make of Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. It was really beautiful how this had touched Beth, and then she had the students sing for her in a huge circle outside, which I was apart of and video recorded.
Then I ended the school day pretty lightly.
The rest of the day, Sarah had been telling everybody that she had a huge birthday surprise planned for me. And that she wasn't going to tell me anything about
So, we got back home, Sarah had me pack up my bag with another day's clothes and a swim suit and other items.
We high tailed it to Spencer's Grocery store, picked up some food (that looked like it could be for a campout) and traveled North after we picked up some Del Taco. I had no idea where we were going.
Sarah took me to a spa and campground near Avila Beach. We decided to opt for a morning spa date, and went to go set up our tent and set up our campground. Sarah brought the easy orange tent. After setting up, I played some things on the Ukulele (which she brought as well) until my tablet died. In the process of playing on the Uke, our friend Sean (a new friend) told us he really liked one of the songs we did, and whipped out his Guitar. He also told us about his life story and confided in us. He even learned 3 or 4 chords on my Uke that I taught him and he started singing a song. This was after Sarah had learned 4ish chords on the Uke, because I taught her.
Our fire didn't want to burn for more that 5-10 minutes at a time; the wood never fully caught on fire. But we still had enough fire to make our hotdogs/brats, our corn, and inhale a bunch of smoke in our lungs. We even shared two brats with Sean.
We then climbed in our tent and went to bed. Before we fell asleep, we watched 1 and a half 2019 video vlogs. Sarah then fell asleep, and I watched a Naomi Fox Reina Astrology Video she did for me a while back.
It's fun that I watched that video, because it was a good majority of our next morning's conversational topics (as prompted by me). We packed our tent back up and drove to the spa, afer leaving Sean a note with a bit of sharing the gospel in it.
The Spa was perfect. Sarah and I swam, talked, and chilled out. It was my first time ever in man-made hot springs. Some of our conversation topics included our sun, moon, and rising signs in astrology. What it means to have a narrow focus because of my Gemini Sun. What it means to have a Scorpio moon.
All of it was just perfect (even the part where we both got sunburned).
We also went to go eat breakfast at Zorro's Cafe. I had a yummy steak omelet, and Sarah had eggs and bacon.
After we were done swimming, we went to a lookout spot by the beach. It was secluded and beautiful. It was a nice time.
