Coastal Voices Potluck and Karaoke

Even though I had played the piano for Coastal Voices only twice before, Julianne invited me and Sarah to the Coastal Voices end of concert season Potluck. We had already gone to a potluck before this at Beth's house for end of the school year potluck so we were primed to bring some sodas from the last one. It was very good, eating the food there, and then they had karaoke for those that wanted to do it.

Sarah wanted to do a particular song by Linda Ronstandt called Don't Know Much, but I wasn't ready to do a song that I didn't automatically know the tune of. It was kind of upsetting, but then we got over it and talked about which duet we could sing together and we decided on A Whole New World from Aladdin. I started it kind of high, not out of tune, just high in my really higher part of my register. But it sounded good.

After that we listened to the songs and contemplated more songs we could do, albeit separately. I chose Fly Me to the Moon, but someone did it right as I was going to write it down. So I had to think some more. I finally chose More Than a Feeling by Boston. Which was really fun. And Sarah did a Shakira song that she really likes and with very, very fast words in it called _______________.

Then after her, someone sang Desperado by the Eagles and that was the end.
