The Santa Maria Stake Good Friday Easter Concert

David enlisted me to help him with the Good Friday Easter Concert that was being put on by the Santa Maria Stake, and which David was in charge of.

Before the actual performance, he had commisioned me to make an arrangement of three-ish scores from the Jesus is the Christ cantata that both David and Sarah grew up with. At the time of doing this for him, I didn't know that just 2-3 months laters we would be living in Santa Maria, and that I'd be able to hear the concert and my arrangments in person.

Sarah participated in the choir, and got a spur of the moment solo with David in I Seek Jesus. I also helped out in the preparation by helping all the soloists practice their parts (and some people from the choir as well). And I played piano for the whole concert. Honestly, I played more than probably everyone that was participating because I had 2 solo songs and My Shepherd Will Supply My Need. It was quite the ordeal, but I somehow made it.

Many people showed up to the concert. And we had a fabulous narrator. All the kids and David were playing instruments in the orchestra, Marcus was helping with recording, and Kirsten was singing in the choir. It turned out really well.
